I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Pre-Primary Education. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I became interested in becoming an educator as early as Elementary School. I was inspired by many of my teachers to make a difference in childrens' lives. I have now been teaching preschool in the Fox Room at Intergenerational Learning Center since November of 2007. I live in Eagan with my husband, Nick and our dog Klea. We like to work together on projects in our house. We also enjoy spending time with our families and friends. As a teacher, I have spent a lot of time creating my classroom into a place where children learn and grow each day. I allow many opportunities for children to explore and make their own discoveries. Children in the Fox Room also develop an understanding and practice the importance of being kind and respectful to others. I have had the pleasure of teaching and making connections with many children and their families at ILC. It is truly a blessing to work with such wonderful people. One of my favorite things about being a teacher is watching children grow and enjoy being at school. I also enjoy engaging in activities that strengthen my knowledge and teaching skills. I look forward to teaching new children and building new relationships and memories at ILC. |
